Consequently, over time poor food choices can feed the bad bacteria in your gut which can intensifying your cravings and cause other health issues. Learn how to control food cravings and make healthy choices.
How To Control Food Cravings and Make Healthy Choices
1. Eat Foods That Promote Good Gut Bacteria
The intense food cravings I had for years, were a result of high levels of bad gut bacteria which can lead to disease and weight gain. High levels of bad gut flora is usually caused by stress, eating too much refined sugar and problematic foods such as Eggs, Dairy, Cheese, Hormones from Food, High Fat Foods Alcohol, Excessive Vinegar, Caffeine, Gluten, Corn, Canola Oil and Pork Products.
However, if you eat a healthy balance of foods that contain both prebiotics and probiotics and eliminate problematic foods it can stop your food cravings helping you combat weight gain and fight disease. Prebiotics feed the good bacteria in our digestive system while probiotics, a live bacteria found in certain foods and supplements aid in digestion which protects you from harmful bacteria, inflammation and boosts your immune system.
My intense food cravings are now gone! It is now easy, to watch my friends and family eat occasional fun foods like cheesecake, while I choose to eat fruit.

2. Make Healthy Eating A Habit
Make healthy eating a habit. The best way to do this is to change your mindset and focus on the reward. Let's be honest, change is hard because our brain wants what is easy and familiar. However, people tend to defy that if they want something bad enough, like giving up smoking to have a healthy baby, you focus on the reward.

- Get a good support system in place. You need to lean on those closest to you. It takes courage to ask for help and it certainly doesn't hurt to have a cheering squad.
- Thoughts create your reality, so form a statement in your mind and repeat it daily….”I choose to eat healthy because I deserve to feel better and look great.”
- Last but not least, visualize yourself completing your goal. Do this morning, noon and night. Act and feel as though you have already achieved it.
According to Dr. Joe Dispenza, our mind does not know the difference between what is physically real and what is vividly imagined. Over 35 years of research conclusively indicates that our minds, our thoughts and our subconscious beliefs have a direct effect upon our body and our environment.
Marisa Peer, Author, Speaker, Therapist, Hypnotherapist Trainer states ‘Every thought you think and every word you say forms a blueprint and your mind must work to make that blueprint real.’
3. Change Self Limiting Core Beliefs
Change your inhibiting self beliefs. From birth to around 7 years of age all the things you hear, feel or experience are recorded as the truth, in your subconscious mind. Therefore, some of those beliefs may be part of the reason why you use food to comfort or soothe your emotions.
Most important, you can change your inhibiting beliefs with a process called Psych-K which instantly changes your negative core beliefs by communicating with the subconscious mind and altering your negative belief to a positive. This is a scientifically proven process that works!! I am proud to say Psych-K has completing changed my life and can truly help you with all aspects of your life including your relationships and self acceptance.

4. Meditation
Meditation is a great way to help you control your food cravings and make healthy choices because it changes your mindset providing you with clarity and focus. I will be honest, it isn't as easy as taking a pill. It requires practice and dedication, but it truly works! I started with 10 minutes a day in my car before work and have now worked my way up to 30 minutes a day. After a meditation, I feel energetic, focused and happy. It's like I am floating and all of my negative emotions are washed away. You deserve to give yourself at least 10 minutes a day.
According to Joe Dispenza, “Meditating is also a means for you to move beyond your analytical mind so that you can access your subconscious mind. That’s crucial, since the subconscious is where all your bad habits and behaviors that you want to change reside.”
